It sounds a bit like it but the problem is that a lot of rock n roll sounded similar in those days. The Beatles grew, Oasis fizzled out after a pretty good debut.

Apart from the fact that the harmonica player taught John Lennon how to play both the instrument and that opening music. Also, if the Beatles can be excused because all rock n roll sounded the same in those days, how can you have a go at Oasis for sounding like other stuff 40 years later?

Music evolved heavily during the years of The Beatles/The Sixties. Blatantly stealing riffs from old record collections in the late 20th Century is totally different from rock n roll songs of the late fifties/early sixties sounding alike.

I can only make the suggestion that you do as your 'hero' does and actually listen to real good classic music and maybe one day you'll be as cool as me haha.

The Young track and R.E.M. track are only a little bit alike whereas the R.E.M. and Oasis ones are pretty much the same.

That maybe so but Neil young is the original not rem

Anyway if you are to rip a riff then pick a good one which they did

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Oasis, but how anyone can chose them over R.E.M is beyond me.
