The Ramones were brilliant but brainless.

Ramones every time.

I knew how to be an angst-ridden teenager along with the best of them, but I thought Joy Division were just self-pitying, self-absorbed types with their ridiculous doom laden music.

The Ramones added an enjoyable levity to their more realistically bleak outlook.

Saw them 3 times in the late 70s.

Fantastic.
