Bayern Munich (A) | Post Match Thread

As a club we have bent over backwards for him, let's not forget his early form was terrible and his attitude even worse.

He ran into form and his standing in football rose accordingly, the club rewarded him with a huge new contract and in return he went MIA and spat his dummy out as soon as things turned against him.

To celebrate your parent club missing a penalty is crass and ignorant, even more so with the score line of his loan club were at.

His attitude and petulance will haunt him long after his career is done, and for me he is already done as a top player.

Proper little ****.

Fuck him right off to whoever will have him.

We can flip it both ways. City were six inches away from Bayern reducing the deficit by two goals inside the first half hour.

It was a chasing because our flanks couldn't cope with their runners, hence why Pep says he changed it at the break to ensure Grealish and Bernie played closer to our back line.

Our midfield was wide open because Stones couldn't make up the extra man, having to run back all the time.

It was a chasing in terms of what City are usually exposed to.

Bayern are certainly a top team but I am under no illusions, we were not allowed to play well for long periods and a superior attack such as Real's will only cause us bigger issues if we go again with the same formation.
Real Madrid do not have a superior attack. They are actually easier to prepare for because they do not have as much pace and we know exactly how they will line up. We will beat them easily with Erling

Was there last night, back row up in the gods. Brilliant from the first pint at noon until the Mc D's at 1am :O

Just seen the highlights and BOTH of those penalties were ridiculous. Glad that the ref treated both instances the same, but giving a penalty for having a ball booted at you from less than 6 feet and it grazes/touches an arm that is not perfectly by your side, IS FUKIN STUPID !

Anyway, result was ALL that mattered (not even the performance was that important) and we got a result that put some money in my pocket (draw with Haaland to score and both teams to score) ... didn't quite cover costs of trip, but did put a dent in it :D

We better win Semi (can't make it), as I've got flights and hotel booked for Istanbul !

The way I see it. Where were Upam ecano's hands/arms when the ball was kicked? They were behind his back. Where was his elbow when it made contact with the ball? At least 6 inches away from his body. Pen all day. There's was a bit more subjective. Although Akanji had his arm in the air, it was for balance. The ball was kicked from a couple of foot against it. Pen, although its the rule thats wrong.
It came off Akanji's foot onto his arm.

Just wanted to say a massive congratulations on making it past Bayern. A super professional performance over both legs. It's getting real now lads! (pun intended)

Seems like Tommy Tuchel has taken Chelsea's patented finishing style with him to the Allianz. When the cameras panned to the Bayern executives last night I wonder if they were figuring out if they could bring Nagelsmann back :)
