Grealish shitehousery is elite as well. Even though Ake's injury sadly was genuine it was great to see Jack screaming at him to sit down
And Bayern were six inches away from being absolutely destroyed to finish a tie we were already leading 3-0.They scored one goal in 180 minutes and that was fron a dubious penalty. We scored four and missed a penalty.
The **** needs to leave the skag alone.
Erling has helped us big time in this regard. We defend better now because we know he will score. At times we withstood a battering ram and still survived. Also helps that the change of system and personal stepping up has made us harder to beat. Good post -:)After the initial pressure i think momentum changed as we dropped back to gain control and we ended up with a clinical performance which was order of the day.
It feels like we've learned our lessons from all those missed opportunities in CL over the years and now have turned into a complete team that can close out results, comfortable with playing on counter and controlling natural attacking instinct which shows the maturity we've finally achieved, whether we win CL or not remains to be seen but there is no doubt this team is ready to win the CL.
This win is dedicated to all those days we had to endure after drawing bayern in our group again and again in our early years in CL
We could easily have scored 6/7 goals. You dont always get what you deserve in football, but we clearly deserved to go thru hereTbh most of the comments on the football itself (not the ref etc), Pep would probably agree with. He said himself afterwards that this was not a 4-1 tie, that he doesn’t feel better than Bayern just because we went through, that the champions league is always a “coin toss” and last year we lost the coin toss, this year we won it (so far). Tuchel’s tone/attitude I hate, but some of the points aren’t exactly false. It was fine margins and they probably did enough for about 4 goals over the 2 legs. But that’s what this competition is all about - moments. And in the big moments, we were there. It was in general a very closely contested tie but we were very solid and good in both boxes, particularly at home.
We’ve also looked stronger at the back since Dias returned.Erling has helped us big time in this regard. We defend better now because we know he will score. At times we withstood a battering ram and still survived. Also helps that the change of system and personal stepping up has made us harder to beat. Good post -:)
