Keeping 11 men on the pitch is unfortunately out of our hands and I can't see it happening.

Need to get an early goal or two to ride the storm of the inevitable dubious decisions from the officials.

Need to score early to make them lose confidence. Even if they score after that I still think we'd be fine. We need to learn to see out games a bit better though, dabble in the dark arts perhaps.

The quarterfinal against Atletico Madrid last year comes to mind. That was the best example I can remember of City seeing out a tie with every available tactic.

Yep. They are on poor form. They have problems to score at all.
They are in shock upon their own way to play vs Hoffenheim.
They are struggling to find their typical confidence, even at home.

Didn't train with team today, only some jogging.

I think Bayern might prefer to have him back for the difficult Bundesliga title race.
And even if he is available he won't be 100% fit after his knee and back problems.
