Really excited by Grealish, no sterling to get in his way this season. He looks the business. Add Phil to the attack and we look bloody scary. MOTM for me was probably Ake, he was fantastic but Kev, Rodri, Bernardo, Eddie and Cancelo also had really good games.

Rodri impressed me about twice as much as anyone else. And I don’t mean that negatively to the others.

Little bit disjointed as you'd expect from a pre-season match, especially one with the weather delays.

But positives all over the pitch, especially -

Haaland got a goal, looks dangerous and already building up relationships with the creative players.
KDB sharp as ever.
Grealish looking fit, settled, confident and a real menace.
Alvarez pressing immense.
Ruben coming back to fitness.
Wilson-Esbrand getting some minutes under his belt and grew in confidence through the match.
Ake looking like the glue in our defence.
Exciting cameos from Palmer and Lewis.

Some great play and we looked more sharp than rusty despite only 1 pre-season match before this.

Rodri, Ake, Grealish all MOTM grade. Young Esbrand also excellent. Then the viking beast scoring...happy days.

Mahrez needs to take the ball wide more often my only critique. When cutting onto his left over and over he was being read like a book later in the game by Davies...but only a very small detail.

Exciting.

Grealish was really on it... Mahrez was not.

Ake was my motm, dude won so many challenges and was so good. Rodri close 2nd.
