Bayern Munich (Friendly) | Post Match Thread

Less to take from that than club America game.

Haaland looks very much in tune with the side and ready to storm it, the idea he won't fit in is laughable.

Alvarez has great tenacity and some really nice movement but he's less in sync with the team just yet, which isn't unexpected at all. Ideally he will bag one against the Dippers to get himself settled. Might take a while but he's going to be class, want to see him on the wing where he can be more involved.

Phillips has still got the headless chicken bielsa trait to knock out of him, it'll come, no rush when Rodri is looking impervious.

JWE had a much better game from a defensive stand point than club America where I thought he was suspect, still plenty of improvement needed before he's a genuine member of the squad but the lads got strong potential and can expect to be in contention for cup games.

Not great having a fractured 80 minute game as one of just 2 pre-season games but it is what it is, a lot of players getting 70-80 minutes and seemingly no injuries were positive signs.

Back home, whole squad together and get ready to defend our title. Its going nowhere.

Well played game. I think Bayern have some problems on defense and figuring out who is going to score goals for them. They only looked a real threat with that cross in the box and that was it.

Ake - Man of the Match. He was so solid back there. Do NOT let him leave. Wilson-Esbrand also looked impressive. Grealish looks set to prove his $100 million price tag.

It seemed like the whole team has turned it up to another level. They look faster, more fluid and their pressing is unreal. All I need now are 5 new jersey's for the campaign.

- it shouldve been 7-0
-please city keep baby Ruud and Bernie at all cost ,, whatever it takes , massive umbrella or rain boot ,, whatever
- fucking tap in norwegian gazelle is deadly.. massacre incoming
- alvarez is a work machine and a hunter
- left back young lad was impressive with bags of confidence

We wouldn’t have scored that goal last season, how many times did the ball flash across the box with no one following in?

A good performance leading up to the Charity Shield. Quality finish from Haaland and plenty of positives from the EDS lads (especially Josh Wilson -Esbrand). I thought the Premier League referees were bad but the two MLS officials are even worse (especially the foul on Grealish)
