He was excellent going forward and solid defensively. Gave the ball away cheaply a few times but to be expected reallyJWS was so impressive. But i still thinking we should get left back. 1 game is not decisive.

Apart from that Haarland is going to create chaos this season. He and Jack have already bonded on (and off) the pitch.

Looks like we’ve got two decent young “full-back-ups!” Too bad Lewis couldn’t squeeze that one in at the near post!
KDB & Haaland missed good chances with balls across the edge of the box, but history will show:

Some great play and we looked more sharp than rusty despite only 1 pre-season match before this.
Rodri, Ake, Grealish all MOTM grade. Young Esbrand also excellent. Then the viking beast scoring...happy days.
Mahrez needs to take the ball wide more often my only critique. When cutting onto his left over and over he was being read like a book later in the game by Davies...but only a very small detail.
Exciting.

JWE and Ake stood out for me. Didn’t realise how fast Alvarez actually is either and with the Viking from Leeds up top someone is going to get battered by double figures this season when all falls into place,

Bit of a Curate’s egg for me.
Yes it’s only pre season but the way Harland took his goal is exactly what we’ve been missing the past couple of seasons.
Clearly on here JWE is highly rated but felt he was out of position upfield too many times and ended up in a foot race to get back.
Hopefully this is part of a learning curve for him.
Thought Rico Lewis was a great sub, wasn’t fazed by the situation and really tried to drive forward.
