I feel Pellegrini is showing his naivety of the premiership and how hard a slog it is because for me Fernandinho is one of our players that is crucial to our midfield and will be burnt out for the last 6 weeks of the season if keeps playing 3 games a week!

So, my question would be:

In what world (and for what possible reason) would you bring back long-injured Silva for THIS GAME (let's face it - prestige only), with Arsenal awaiting....??

Can someone enlighten me about the thought process here, cause I think that is dumb as sh*t...but it might be just me.

Match fitness/sharpness I'd imagine. I'd rather he go into the Arsenal game with some amount of minutes under his belt.

Yea - match fitness was the one that came to mind...BUT - I totally disagree with that logic.

You are risking aggravating and injury to get a SEASONED VET some "match fitness"...i think cons outweigh the pros by a mile on such call...

Oh, well, let's hope for the best with Merlin - despite Nasri's great play as of late, we DID miss Silva a lot.
