Riiiiiiight, so defeat Chelsea and they won't have the CL next year and this will harm them where it matters, but impoverished Bayern will rake in 200m, be the shining light for the oppressed clubs of Europe, and still be able to claim the moral high ground when it comes to discussing football finances.

Why do Uefa and Fifa allow such statements? It's public contempt and should be condemned by the "authorities". I can't imagine even Ferguson getting away with such a statement.

Germans are doing a fine job of lording it over the rest of Europe recently. Sad.

I'm pretty sure they said the same things about Spanish football some weeks ago. They didnt attack any club directly (even though there was a mention of Real Madrid's debts) but they insisted on the financial "fair play" aspect.

It might be an attempt to justify a possible defeat in the Champion's League final.

They really are the Rags of Germany aren't they? Classless & arrogant, buoyed by their huge commercial income. That oil they complain about fills up the cars from the companies that finance them so it's completely hypocritical.

Hoeness should just call Abramovich a "filthy Jew" as that's what he's clearly alluding to. Hope Roman sues the arse off him but I still don't want Chelsea in the CL next year. Ashley Cole is another who should have kept his mouth shut.

By the way: Sloopy translation of his quotes. He originally said: If he pulls the plug on them, you’ll be able to buy the club as a puzzle (meaning Chelsea will break into pieces).

Interesting to see what the management of Bayern will do, if Bayern does a Leverkusen 2002, losing three competitions within a few weeks. Their greatest horror, i think
