Bayern's war of words with Man City

Odd how some people cherry-pick these rules to suit their own views.
Here's how I see it: An expceptional 15 year old is looking for a club to play at. He has 3 PL clubs vying for his signiture. The rags, mid table everton, bottom of table wigan. He'll choose the rags. A world class player has decided to run down his contract and move on a free transfer. His main suitors are cl regulars manyoo, europa league hopefulls everton and constant relegation candidates wigan. He'll choose the rags. A world class player is on the market for £20 million. Any club who wants him can only buy him out of money generated by gate reciepts and merchandise. The rags stadium gets 75k, and sells millions of mu doggie bowls, teatowels and car air fresheners across asia. Everton gets 35k and sells a few thousand replica shirts and wigan gets 15k and sells 3 meat pies at half-time. Only the rags are ALLOWED to buy him. So they'll get the best youth players, best frees and best available-but-at-a-price players. How the fuck could any of that be "fair play".

Bayern is always Champion...

All of the cars have a DM sign (Deutscher Meister) in the years they win the Bundesliga title - the other years the have a RM (Rekordmeister) sign...

Dortmund will not stay there forever...

Actually Ralph Honigstein is right with his last words. I usually only read his columns in the Guardian and the Süddeutsche. The investments of ManCity took part before the FFP. You as well as the "established" clubs are relativly save that a new Sheikh, russian oil baron or whatever comes and does the same with e.g. Sunderland, the Blackburn Rovers or whoever. The basics are the same for you and "everybody else" now - apart maybe from past knowledge, mentality and talent. Do not take me wrong here - like I wrote somewhere yesterday I believe that a team and a club lead needs some time to been build up, to get the odd one out and to change things went the first tries were wrong - the time your club has not had the recent years. The mentality - to be successful you need a winner mentality - not every good player has it - but at some clubs it is implemented.

The situation for you is even better than for the other established clubs in England. Chelsea has an old team and would have to invest new in it. Manchester City an old team and some young talents but actually needs to get better blood in, too.

Actually - it somehow could be that the club that takes the most profit out of the FFP in the Premier League might be Manchester City...

---------------------------

The differences in Germany aren't as big as they are in the PL. There is always a tough competition and a lot of changing teams that fight for the title. The only special is that Bayern Munich apart from a lot of the other clubs is able to always be in the competition. And with all the youngsters coming through in addition to established but not star players there is other teams that have the chance to build up a new legacy. Might take a time - but the chances are there if a club has a good hand in the sports side as well as the economical side.

If Rummenigge speaks he does not always speak in the interest of Bayern Munich - he speaks as an important person of the Bundesliga as well as for the European Clubs and the players.

Oh and not ONE fookin word about our visionary, forward think academy designed to appease all the UEFA technocrats
Not one

bayern munich the most hated club in germany well known for bullying other german clubs and tapping up ....are giving us the moral lardy dah i really couldnt give two shits wot they think.

as for this maldeika merchant are you for real u dick we dont have an old squad? we dont need new blood(all teams freshen up squads) we were unlucky not to progress to the next round in the c.l and lets get one thing straight the result in munich could hav been a lot different.

Ideally (after we've had plenty of time to grow as a club, I'll add out of self interest) - there should be a restriction where everybody can spend the turnover of the biggest grossing club, but no more. Clubs with smaller revenue can make up that shortfall with 'sugar daddy' cash or indeed cash from selling gumboots for all it matters. So what we'd have is a situation where there is simply no competitive advantage gained by being a 'big club' and vice versa.

Funny how that would never be considered as an alternative to FFPR.

You are totally right.

If they had a Sheik they would do exactly the same City is doing.
No need to worry about Rummenigge.

They sold almost half of the club to Audi Allianz and Adidas.

Owned by members? big grin

Rummenigge is pissed that regulations in the Bundesliga say a club cant sell more than 49% of its shares to foreign investors.Thats what its all about envy and greed
