another decade or so i think they will be in controll of this shocking disease

I genuinely hope so.

random thought ... but considering the population growth since the 80's is up by nearly 3 billion !

with people living long and if cancers could be cured ... how could the world control the ridiculous increase in population ?

Although your question has a point, lets give hope to finding a cure first.
The more develop as a world, the more doors we open to wierd and wonderful diseases and epidemics, a population increase problem is decades away.
