I have been blocked on twitter by the #DEFUNDTHEBBC mob
I only asked who funded them about 500 times, they refused to answer.
They have a CEO who has also blocked me and a PR agent who also blocked me.
Who pays for a twitter campaign to have a CEO and employ a PR agency? I fucking wonder.
I researched into them and surprise surprise they have links to Tufton Street and a number of pro free market think tanks, its not a general public campaign, its funded by corporate interests who want to get their greedy mitts on yet another great British institution. The daft cunts on twitter who made all the fuss about not singing some songs at the Proms all support this corporate takeover attempt. How fucking stupid are the UK public.
I don't think anybody is surprised that there might be links to 'pro free market think tanks' or people who are ideologically opposed to the state owning businesses. At the same time though, there's a lot of people involved in the movement who don't share that ideology but nevertheless feel that the BBC's funding model is outdated or unfair and/or the BBC is no longer the right organisation to promote British culture or do a better job at reporting the news than any private organisation.
