The BBC are best at nature and thought provoking documentaries. If they get back to being independent news reporting,along with some of their original dramas they'll be fine. They shouldn't chase ratings as the way they are funded they don't need to.What exactly is the License fee going on apart from huge fucking contracts and repeated, celebrity this, that and t'other?
They cannot afford the outrageous money for major sports now. Stick to quality not quantity and they'll be reet.

BBCs hands are tied. I think the bbc and showing live sport is coming to a end. Co live rights is the way they will go with European football and World Cup as long as they can. Same with Olympics they will try and keep that as long as possible they will be the only sports they will have. I dont get the why people think they should be able to buy everything in the sports at the prices they are quoted. IF the goverment were to protect certain sports to free to air tv then there is more of a chance that the bbc could stay in with showing live sports. Sadly that wont happen. Never understood why 1 set of premier league games were not on free to air tv be it BBC , C4 , C5 or ITV just seems strange.

If they could get a deal as they did F1 for live PL games it would be win win.
