Be a man Hughes, apologize to Elano Now!

HAPPY FEET. BANG ON . MOST OF HIS GAMES THIS, THIS, SEASON, HIS COMMITMENT HAS BEEN, LARRY GRAYSON SPRNGS TO MIND. WHICH PISSES ME OFF COS HE CAN BE MAGIC WHEN HE WANTS TO BE.

Still waiting for Elanos apology for his display against Forest in the FA CUP.

you mean that wasn't Hughes's fault? are you sure :)

So the manager is responsible for every single players performance?????? If you aint got the pride in your own performance you aint got nothing.

Elano reminded me a bit of Beckham last night. Never got the pace to beat a man in the traditional way a winger would, but absolute perfect delivery every time by being able to find a couple of inches of space. Plus he was just as good when he drifted inside. If Hughes can see sense and realise that this is Elano's best position, as proved while playing for Brazil, the better we will be as a team because he gets the best out of others. Who needs SWP? hehe.

Tongue firmly in cheek fella :)

Of the last 7 games that Elano has started, City have won 5. Of the last 7 that he hasn't we've won once. Enough said.

Oh i see, so if he started every game we would win the league? you should have said before..........it's all so simple

It's an interesting stat though. Last night he was excellent but it's not like he's played badly in every other game. He started against Portsmouth and Hull and Omonia for example and played well in those matches.

Good player in the right set-up, unfortunately without changing the whole team around he dooes'nt fit in. Kinkladze, Bernarbia and Berkovich were all better in that role and more adaptable to the English game. We're still looking for a replacement creative midfielder but I don't think he's anywhere near the answer. Would'nt get rid though as he is still better than a lot of the dross we have.

It's obvious that Elano is a brilliant player. It's also obvious that he for certain matches he can't really be arsed, play him when he's fired up, don't when he's not. He's good but he hasnt performed a fair amount of the time, he does't deserve an automatic starting place for me.

The only chance the Welsh prick has got of keeping is job, is if he plays Elano in every game untill the end of the season. He should get him in the office first thing, explain he has him all wrong and beg him to perform like that untill the end of the season.

But he won't, he'll drop him and put the mercurial Keliven Ethu in, instead. Genius.

i definately think he should have played elano more this season

If SWP had played instead of Elano we would be in the semis.

For Elano to play he has to be better than SWP, Ireland or Robinho, that is why he has been on the bench.

yes ... if swp had played a blinder, unfortunately he hasn't actually been too great this season and hasn't put in many performances better than elanos last night, maybe against sunderland, other than that im struggling to find a game where he's been as influential as scoring 1, hitting the frame twice, all over the park etc.

tbf i get the impression shauny playing on an injury. yes elano played well but he hasnt delivered consistently this season. i also think his attitude has been suspect on occasions

Bollocks. Who do you think created most of our chances?

Elano better than SWP?

Trippin'.

Elano and Caicedo played well, but SWP and Bellamy would have played if fit, and the result of the tie would possibly have been different.

Elano and sweep playing to their potential i think i would just favour elano. i have despised some of his non performances for us but last night he was superb. just think we can play both, and if both go well.....

It would be fair to post this after Elano has produced a string of performances like last night. Sadly (and not entirely through his own making) he patently hasn't done this yet. I emphasise yet, because I sure as hell hope to see more like the Elano of last night.

exactly. elano should be the one apologising for not putting in anything like the effort he put in last night usually

Agreed. SWP would have put us through to the semis, as would Kompany if he played the first leg, unfortunately injuries have been cruel on us this season.
