Be a man Hughes, apologize to Elano Now!

Elano, a brazilian regular.

SWP, an English bit part.

There's really no comparison and as much as people have sentiment for SWP, Elano is the better footballer.

This.

As much as I love SWP, on his night Elano is the better footballer.

I think its ideal to have selection headaches like this; it keeps the opposition thinking.

The only chance the Welsh prick has got of keeping is job, is if he plays Elano in every game untill the end of the season. He should get him in the office first thing, explain he has him all wrong and beg him to perform like that untill the end of the season.

But he won't, he'll drop him and put the mercurial Keliven Ethu in, instead. Genius.

In numerous games this season Elano passed the ball to the opposition or just into space where nobody was more times than he passed to someone in our shirt! He was extremely poor, and he was in the last half of last season where he also fell out with Sven! Elano has played well for us once in 18 months and that is not Hughes's fault! it is the questionable tempereament of Elano that is the problem!

Take out thursday night and the last time Elano had a major affect on a game for City was against Boro at home over 18 months ago! Not only that but even though he wasnt playing well his team work ethic was also terrible so it made him look even worse! That people is not fucking good enough! SWP tries hard as fuck every game he plays, i think i heard JRedknapp say a few weeks ago that he is the 3rd most fouled player in the Prem and still he gets up, brushes himself off and still tries to play his game, and usually plays it well and has a goal or an assist at least every game!

I think that's a bit harsh on Elano. To be fair to him he does appear to have put in some good performances of late when he's had the chance. If he'd have been doing that more regularly at the start and the middle of the season then he'd have some justification of being a moodypants for not playing more often now.

Elano is a better player with his vision, passing (especially when he's on song) and eye for a goal, but SWP's deserved more minutes on the pitch throughout the season. If SWP is carrying a knock and after Elano played so well on Thursday I'd probably play Elano on Sunday and give Shauny a rest.

If Elano doesn't play tomorrow Hughes should be sacked on the spot! In my opinion, Hughes's biggest mistake (and there's plenty of competition for that title) has been to alienate Elano, who is, again in my opinion, one of only two world class players in our squad. Surely even our dullard of a manager can't have failed to notice Elano's mom performance the other night? Or can he? I wouldn't put it past him!

I see it as a chicken and egg situation.. Do we blame Hughes for Elanos previous loss of form? or do we blame Elano for having a sulk with the Manager and not playing for the shirt?

As I said, if he'd played even close to that for the majority of teh season then he's every right to feel aggrieved. We all know Elano can do what he did on Thursday, even Hughes.

Elano fell out with Sven n'all though, thats why i dont think he's the man!

Elano not playing well because he doesn't get on with the staff is so unbelievably unprofessional it's untrue. One game when the whole of Europe is likely to be watching stinks of "look at me I'm in the shop window" to be honest. Give me Wright-Phillips any day, we would have won on Thursday if he'd have played in my opinion.

Total crap! Elano was brilliant the other night, the main difference between the two sides. If you couldn't see that then you should stop watching football and take up knitting or something!

If Wright-Phillips had played the other night, it would have been at Elano's expense. As I stated earlier, Elano was easily the most influential player on the pitch. SWPs inclusion wouldn't have compensated for Elano's loss. Penny dropped yet?

G STAR, YOU WANT TO GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT, HOW MANY FULL GAMES HAS ELANO PLAYED FOR BRAZIL, FULL 90 MINUTES,? YOU WILL BE SUPRISED. !

If SWP had played instead of Elano we would be in the semis.

Bollocks. Who do you think created most of our chances?

Elano better than SWP?

Trippin'.

Elano and Caicedo played well, but SWP and Bellamy would have played if fit, and the result of the tie would possibly have been different.

Elano is a better passer, better set-piece taker and a better finisher than SWP and also has more creativity. Shaun has a higher work-rate, more pace and a better dribbler. On form though Elano is clearly the better player overall.

Elano had a direct hand in the first WBA goal, SWP would have marked the full back and not let Zab get torn appart by two men. WBA got a lot of change fro running at our full backs who had little cover today, and it alost cost us. For that reason when SWP is fully fit he will play, Elano has been playing well but SWP can also play well for the 50% of the match when City do not have the ball.

It's funny really Elano has deserved the role of squad player most of the season he has been moody sulking waste of space then suddenly he looks a world beater again there are two possible reason

1 He has realised his future at the club is on the line so has snapped out of it

2 He is showing everyone what he can do if he is transfer listed / sold

I loved Elano last season even got his name on the back of my shirt as a present from the Mrs at the start of this season but up until Thursday I really questioned if he had the pride in the shirt just hope this form continues
