Beatles documentary “Get Back”

Doesn’t matter about music theory it’s about what people prefer. It’s obvious that nearly all classical music is technically better than most contemporary music but I prefer to listen to contemporary music hence it’s subjective.

We weren’t talking about what people prefer though. That absolutely is subjective and each to their own. Even saying what is better is subjective to an extent too.

It’s not subjective to say that Oasis sounded a lot more like the Beatles than anyone else though, it’s just wrong.

So what we’re both saying is the same, I’ve obviously got the wrong end of the stick. Fair do’s.
 
Don’t really want to get onto a britpop debate as this isn’t the thread for that, just pointing out there were other bands a lot more influenced by and sounded a lot closer to the Beatles than Oasis.
ELO being one of them. I watched something about them not long back, Jeff Lynne adored the Beatles apparently and I'd never noticed before how similar his approach was in production and writing...Although he didn't directly lift anything, unlike Noel lol. To be fair to him, he only nicked a few Beatles riffs...At least fifteen were other peoples.. Good on yer Noel..The real great rock and roll swindle-
