I don't think there can be much doubt that Baconface got a nice big fat brown envelope when he bought Bebe. If they paid £8m then he must have got £7.5m of that. A very dodgy deal indeed.

TBF we should include Chicken Tikka in with the recent purchases.
Nobody gets every signing right and Hernandez and Smalling will be good enough to compensate for the waste of money that Bebe, Obertan and Diouf are likely to prove.
They are also producing a good crop of kids recently. We have some catching up to do on that score.

We would seem to be behind at that level, but things change at that age. Many of theirs won't make it, and it is highly unlikely any club will ever have what they had with Giggs, Scholes etc.....

They will struggle in the future due to their lack of money!

Me too, most of that fee will be bacon face's pension fund. He's seen how much the Glaziers are leeching from the club and he wants a slice.
