Agreed-outstanding performance agaisnt Greece.Probably the best free-kick I ever saw in terms of importance.

But....Beckham in his prime just personified them as a club in a way the Ronaldo does now.
The posing,the hairstyles that all the local gimps copy for the next six months,the showbiz,the tabloid media adulation,the glamour...it's always been far more about the image and pr spin than the football,as has been ever thus at the swamp.
