Before the money arrived what was your City ambition?

Just to see us win one major trophy before I died was my goal. I would die a happy man. I'm 28 and have been watching City since 1989 so have only seen four promotions and an FA Youth Cup win in my time. But the goal posts have changed now I want us to win a major trophy before it gets to 37 years without winning one. I do not want us to hold the Manchester record. So either this or next season we must win a major trophy.
 
mine was hoping we would win each game, i know that was unrealistic but that was how i felt.
these days hoping has been replaced with a realistic expectancy.
yes how times have changed.
and isn't it great.
 
to get to a cup final maybe not win (although it would have been nice) but just a good day out for all the fans
 
I'm a little younger than most posters on here, however my city ambition before the money turned up was to stay in the prem, beat the rags home and away and have a cup run.

this and maybe one day get in the champions league. i remember watchin liverpool in 2005 and dreamt of nights like that. i would say hamburg would have been very similar.
