Being told to sit down at the wolves game

Soory if its already been posted boys its the first time i've been on since sat.

But was just my section (217) that was getting hastled by the stewards etc 2 sit down all the fucking time?

It was on earlier. I presume you are a season card holder. Part of the rules that you agree to when you purchase the ticket is to accept the ground regulations. Sitting in the seat for the majority of a match is just one of those regulations. The stewards are simply trying to apply the regulations that the club has to obey. They have to agree to abide by those regulations to get the ground appropriately certified by the Council. The club passes that duty onto the fans through their membership regulations. If you don’t accept the rules don’t buy the ticket.

If you want to stand then you need to but your ticket for areas allocated for those wanting to stand

Standing is fine if everyone in the stadium wanted to stand really, i was at the bolton away game last season, everyone was stood up in front of me so obviously i followed suit to get a good view, but the ladies sat behind me couldnt see then, and didnt want to stand up and asked me to sit down. I did so and the guy in front of me sat down too so i got lucky really.

I am also sat in 217 and i take your point about obstructing someones view but all the ones being told to sit down were sat on the last row with only a wall behind them, some of the stewards act like little jobsworths, especially the ones that actually carry a rule book with them.

Standing is all part of a spectating at a football game really... nobody should be telling you to sit down in my opinion. Apparently at Old Trafford they are always shouting for people to sit down. Hope this was just a one off lol.

at the concrete bowl we play in they have a text grassing service where you text a number and basically grass up anyone who has been standing up singing , swearing etc .

Me and my mate were the ones in 217 who were being singled out by the female steward.we stand up all game and have done for years, as we are on the very back row,with just the wall behind us.Both her and her male colleague singled us out,and told us that we were being watched etc,and that a riot squad would come in and sling us out if we didnt sit down.Ive never seen these pair before ,and have never been told to sit down by any stewards in the past.i really hope that this is a one off,with it being the first game of the season etc.she also told us that wolves would be getting a reduced allocation next season(if they stay up),due to their persistent standing.
