They sadly missed the boat. They were more than capable for years. It reminds me of Netherlands who has a brilliant team for a decade in the 90s and early 2000s and feck all to show for it

They even had coaches like Enrique and similar free for so long and they persisted with some average one like Martinez. It’s highly baffling, honestly.
