About time the press stopped printing unsubstantiated lies:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/west_ham/article6026327.ece" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/ ... 026327.ece</a>

Well done to Bellamy for forcing them to make a public apology!

All of which goes to prove that you can't believe what you read even in the "serious" papers.

Still amazes me that people think that the journos on 'serious' newspapers are any different than the ones on the rags? They all p*ss in the same pot and swap 'stories' with each other.

Or that they are given misinformation and sometimes get it wrong. But when they do, they'll correct it.

Depends what you want to believe, really.

Another apology in The Mirror:
In online articles on 19, 20 and 28 January 2009 we wrongly reported that Craig Bellamy had refused to train and play for West Ham against Fulham. We alleged he had stormed out of West Ham's training ground and had effectively gone on strike. We now accept that this was wrong and Craig Bellamy did not refuse to play and nor did he go on strike. We apologise to Mr Bellamy for any distress caused.
