Found what he did very strange. When he usually goes off he claps to the fans, last night he waved to the crowd in a Mark Hughes kind of manner.

Anything in it, especially with the rumours of Di Maria?

Fact is he's just not good enough. He has spent his whole career alway's living off a reputation of 2 or 3 games off the belt playing well. Then goes into average Bellamy mode.

I think if he is available Harry will be interested. But I doubt we'll buy him from you. If he leaves I'd imagine it's because Mancini wants to bring in other players and accepts that at his age Bellamy needs to be playing first team football regularly. So despite costing a fair bit and only being 18 months into his contract, I think he'll be released from his contract. It's just a difficult situation as Bellamy himself has said his legs have only got another season or so in them and he does suffer from injuries, so it's unlikely anyone will be prepared to pay a fee for him. But your owners and Mancini are decent enough to realise that there is little point keeping him around the place if he's not going to play. Hence I think he'll be released from his contract.

I think he'll stay. If he doesn't stay I very much doubt we'll just give one of our best players away for free

Obviously if he stays that's that. But if it is decided it's best for him to leave, I think asking for a fee might prove difficult. I think maybe some sort of compromise might be made. Perhaps the buying club taking him on a loan deal and paying a fee for the loan period. I think we charged Pompey for loaning O'hara, so it does happen.

For all the times I see Bellamy whinge and have a go during the game it was good to see his attitude after the final whistle when he congratulated Redknap.

I think a lot of his performance is down to attitude and desire to win.

i agree mate not been great for quite a few weeks . and he needs to practise his corners cant believe how many times he has hit the first man in the last 6 games or so

I don't think Bob's like that, not selling because of spite. I think if Bob's allowed an almost open cheque book to create his own team, he won't care who he sells too. Don't forget also, Bellamy isn't getting any younger so even if he did go to Spuds, he would be a bit-part player at best, which if he's given a run in the CL and £100k a week for he won't have any qualms about.

I think you'll find that like any astute manager Bob will care very much who he sells to. It's absolute folly to sell good players to your rivals just as it's daft to pay big money to your rivals for their players.
