Terrible bit of business by City, this. Adebayor to Spurs is too! Bellamy should be going to Celtic and Adebayor to somewhere on the continent. But no, we're strengthening our rivals.

They have no future at our club under Mancini and they have a right to play for any club that wants them and they are prepared to join.

Do you really think Celtic can afford to pay Bellamy anywhere near he is getting at City?

If Bellamy goes to Liverpool it shows us how far we have come when our rivals want our unwanted players.

Many if not all of the players we loan to other premiership clubs will under perform as was the case last year and Bellamy was virtually non existant for his dream homecoming to the club he wanted to retire playing for in the championship.

City perhaps, right or wrongly, maybe feel Lpool or Spurs won't be our rivals this season, and both Bellers & Ade are capable of being parts of teams which take points off what could be realistically our real rivals this season, rags & chelsea.

i don't think they will be underestimated, but in reality all 3 teams you mention shouldn't be in the title equation, they may be of course, but it would take a poor season from the top 3 for one of those to come along and do something imo. Chances are both Bellers & Ade will do there usual, be amazing for 3-4 months and you'll get the likes of Ollie Holt wanking himself off to them in his column and supplement, then after xmas they will get bored and kick off behind scenes.

It's all well and good saying we shouldn't strengthen our rivals and I understand the logic in that.
However, why should we be afraid of a player deemed not good enough for us ?

Its not that he wasnt good enough for us,their was a clash of personalities that led to him being moved on,nothing more.He was a class player for us and mancini just didnt like to have his character in the dressing room..had bellers had zabs attitude he'd be a shoe in for our squad.

I know the contract dictates that certain payments are required depending on length of service, etc.

But I just hope this isn't a payment for the difference between the salary we pay him and the salary the dippers offered.

But they haven't gone because they aren't good enough, it's because of a personality clash with the manager, They are still good enough to harm us and that is why it is sheer stupidity to strengthen our rivals.

Don't worry big dave he will take out his golfing prowess on the likes of Steve and co this time around and Kenny will ship him out before too long and Ade is not much chop unless he gets decent service and clearly Modric no longer has the passion to play for Spurs.

Seriously you could argue that every player that moves to every club in this window will strenghten that club.

History shows this far from the case.

Bellamy and Ade were great for us at their peak no doubt but with every new manager that comes along players fall down the pecking order for all sorts of reasons.

Its time we realise they will no longer play for us again certainly not Bellamy
and certainly not Ade while Mancini is in charge.

As to where they go to that's not solely up to us unfortunately Dave.

While we have Carlos , Mario , Edin and Kun we are better off investing time and money in any forwards in the academy that are home grown and show promise that hopefully one day will be the next Carlos even more so.
