Bellamy to the Dippers

The facts are that Ade and Bellamy are back ups at best for us now and are not viewed by management as necessary to where we need to go and cannot play any role in assisting us from where we are right now to where we want to be.

Personally I think both players could still play a role for us but they have fallen out of favour big time with management at least with RM and when that happens there is no turning back.

You could view it as a weakness in his character and man management skill set but if we get the results I believe Mancini pays little regard to who or how as long as we get what he wants and what he believes the fans want and that is the premiership title and the Chumps League trophy in his tenure at the club.

No doubt he has his favourites and Bellamy and Ade push the envelope albeit in differing ways which Mancini finds it hard to tolerate.

Rightly or wrongly he rewards hard work on the training track and the right attitude in his eyes off the track.

Quality and skill and work ethic on match days run a close second.

I have no doubt that Bellamy's scrapes in night clubs have in part contributed to putting him in Mancini's sin bin and despite the shocking events that clearly had a major impact on Ade's life on and off the pitch something he has done or a series of events have meant a similar fate for Ade.

When you find out what makes Mancini tick you will understand why he manages and freezes out players in the manner he does.

No manager is perfect and all things to all players and you do need some flexibility and some players don't worry about who is in charge and whether they like them or not is irrelevant to them but some degree of mutual respect must exist of the relationship is doomed to fail and if Mancini is totally inflexible to the things that he will not tolerate at all times it will lead to his demise at some stage.

I for one love Mancini's ruthlessness and dismissive attitude to mouthy, bolshy pricks like Bellamy. Don't forget, we have a manager who was very successful in Italy when they were shit hot in the footballing rankings and he has dealt with all sorts of personalities, offering up their whinges and excuses for behaviour, or non performance. We are now in the almost unbelievable position of calling the shots, because of the obvious focus on our club and Mancini, for me, is the bloke to call them.

Reading that reminded me so much of baconface, and how he dealt with transgressors such as McGrath, Whitreside and Sharpe.

No manager can be successful if he doesn't follow his vision.

He doesn't have to apologise for anything... he only needs to get results.

And, to date, he's way up on the deal...

I have said as much in another post but I would like to know why his version of events with regards to the likes of Ade and Bellamy soulboy.

He doesn't need to apologise but perhaps he can explain to those supporters who are interested why these players are no longer part of the future.

The reason could be as simple as he believes they are not good enough anymore or a series of transgressions has made their place in the squad untenable.

Its strange because whenever it happens to a player in the AFL over here in oz its the first question the media asks the coach as they are known here and the coach has no hesitation in answering.

Of course whether you actually believe the coaches version of events is another matter but at least you get to hear his story.

Like you I too would love to know all the reasons why Mancinin does and doesn't like various players.

But that's not his job. He really doesn't have to justify himelf to you and me.

He only has to justify his decisions to the board.

That's how it is with managers in all organsiations throughout the world.

I never hear baconface justifying hjis decisions. And he's the "standard" to follow. You just have to "trust" he gets it right... but he doesn't have to explain it to us.

-- Wed Aug 31, 2011 9:30 pm --

I know he doesn't have to justify his decisions to supporters , I am just surprised the press in England don't ask the questions of managers in pre game banter that the press over here do of our equivalents and ask the questions most supporters want a response to.

Perhaps you or a fellow bluemooner can ask RM yourself at the next open forum should another one ever be scheduled.

Its a simple question and whilst you are likely to get a politician type response it would be interesting to see how RM handles it.

You can make up your own mind how plausible the truth of their demise in the eyes of RM and what were the mitigating factors given are.

I know the press are worried that the likes of Bacon face will try to ban them from future press conferences when the have the temerity to ask him such questions and they may feel they will get one of RM's grins with a black stare and little else but quite frankly the press conferences short of finding out who is not available for selection and hopefully for how long are boring and predictable and never transparent and to me seem afraid to ask the hard questions of managers.
