Belle Vue Zoo Manchester - FB

Went there one day looking like paddington and loved it.

Sent with cheese and tomato sandwiches and a slice of grandma's apple pie.

ty for the memories.

I'm a friend of the page already!

Great memories of Belle Vue. Not so much the zoo, more the amusement park and the Kings Hall where I used to go and watch the wrestling. Parents also used to take me to the circus every year.

wow belle vue , now that brings back some great memories my auntie lived quite close and we went quite often , also loved the water chute , i always remember being able to see it whenever we got the train to manchester , seems such a shame now its all gone

Best copping off place in Manchester in early 70s both day and night, daytime was all the fairs and rollercoasters it was a babe magnet, weekend nights you had the German beer kellar it held about a thousand people, and the bouncers made sure it was half and half, happy days

Sorry for the plug, I just know that there will be many on here who will be familiar with Belle Vue and it will most likely mean to a lot, to a lot of people.

Thank You!

Nice to see. Out of interest does your father have anything in his collection connected with Manchester Central FC? <a class="postlink" href="http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150108326957816.281355.289818652815&type=3#!/photo.php?fbid=10151105480212816&set=a.10150149901862816.286954.289818652815&type=3&theater" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... =3&theater</a> & <a class="postlink" href="http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150108326957816.281355.289818652815&type=3#!/photo.php?fbid=10151105480322816&set=a.10150149901862816.286954.289818652815&type=3&theater" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... =3&theater</a>

Thanks for the post, like some of the folks who have commented already brought back thoughts of a happy. Makes you think, if the owners had had the vision could there now be a disney type theme park there today, minus the weather.
Loved the place.
