He’ll be a very good signing for Chelsea and at £50m (if accurate), it isn’t a terrible deal considering some of the prices we’ve seen of late.

Solid and well rounded LB that would have made us better, but I don’t think he’s that much better than the options we have to justify the expense.

i think cancelo can save us a fortune on the left back slot next season . Not saying mendy or zinchenko because they are both clearly not good enough but cancelo first choice and then get angelino into shape and we should be ok .

Your probably right and I think I have got it wrong . He was exposed against Lyon .

Cancelo has done OK filling in at left back, but I am still not sure he is the long term answer. I suspect Pep will rotate between Mendy and Cancelo and Ake fill in if required.

It’s a position we can’t afford to rotate
