Pep recently said at a presser that we're playing the way we are because we lack flying fullbacks who can get up & down the pitch, & it's something he's looking to rectify in the summer. It’s actually due to having Haaland, we’ve lost an extra body in midfield during the build up because Haaland is sitting on the last man rather than coming short.One of the full backs plays next to rodri so we still have an overload in the middle. The left back spot is now effectively a left sided centre back and the right back is now an holding midfielder. Pep did the same at Bayern when he signed lewandowski.Great argument you put across there. Have we got any decent left backs? No we haven't ergo we need to change formation to maximise the attributes of the playing squad. It's not rocket science

Was glad Chelsea bought him, now they want rid injuries being the main problem, nobody is going to pay good money for him, only to find he can not compete with the stand in even when fit.

Just got sent off.When fit he's a fantastic left-back and as good as there is. Issue is, is that he seems to struggle to put a long run of games together. At least for Chelsea.
Reece James is the only Chelsea player we should be interested inJust got sent off.

Any LB we sign has to be as good at defending (1v1s especially) as Ake imo, and with the way Nathan is playing atm there isn't any.
If he needs a backup then give the youngsters a go, the lad in preseason has enough about him

Not his finest moment haha. No idea why players do those kind of things. There was a decent chance that Rodrigo wouldn't even score from that angle. And if he did, I'd rather play 2 down but with 11 men on the pitch against a side like Madrid.
Cucurella also has to take a lot of the blame. An absolute travesty of a player.
