And yet he'll cost nothing and won't even be a drop in the ocean of our wage bill. People said the same about Zinchenko but we won a skipload of trophies with him and made the European Cup final. Might as well give the lad a chance. If he's no good we can shift him on in the summer."Wilson-Esbrand"
Jesus wept, he would struggle to get a game for a lower Championship side.
I think you need to re read that comment Wilson esbrand is not on 200k200k a week a drop?
We are rich but no fools.

My apologies!!I think you need to re read that comment Wilson esbrand is not on 200k
Simply not good enough, he was there just to make the numbers up.Looks decent on the overlap that Wilson-Esbrand but his positional sense defensively needs loads of work. He was a glaring weakness in the pre-season games he started. Talented player but he needs experience and his injury troubles probably mean he's ran out of time to impress at City.
Maybe in the Stuart Pearce/Mark Hughes eras.Been told he can leave Chelsea. Worth a punt for us I reckon
Tbf Chilwell won't even make the numbers up. Permanently crocked.Simply not good enough, he was there just to make the numbers up.
Even if he was never injured, he gives the ball away far too much.Nah. The main reason Chelsea are letting him go is because his wages are massive and he's never fit. Has played 64 games across the entirety of the last three seasons, an average of 21 or 22 apps per season. Would rather give those minutes to Wilson-Esbrand.

He is clearly a decent lad and a good player but that's simply not enough.Had a very rough time with injuries over the past few years. It's a shame for the lad as he did have a lot of potential when we signed him from West Ham but I agree we probably won't see him playing for City again.
They all need to take inspiration from Chelsea legend Winston Bogarde. Don't back down. They've given you an 8 year contract on a huge salary. Take every last penny.Chilwell is probably the first of a string of players Chelsea will try to bully out of the club over the next couple of seasons if they continue with this strategy of stockpiling players at a ridiculous rate.
Can't really see it working out for them. It's all well and good telling Chilwell he needs to leave but he's on £200k a week for the next three years. Given his patchy form and injury record, who is going to offer him anywhere near that? Sure some players will be willing to take a bit of a pay cut to get back on track but they're not gonna willingly halve their salaries.
There are players signed for massive fees and still carrying a huge book value due to the ridiculous contract lengths theyve put them on who are already looking like fringe players now. They're going take a big hit when they have to move those players on.
Yep. Saying he could be good if he didn't have injuries is a straw man argument, eh Worzel.Bloody hell, how come we have a thread about Chilwell?! It’s a no from me
