I am not as confident as u watching back FA cup final and the community shield. Our left back was clearly the target and weak link. Rags right wingers had a field day. Real Madrid also targeted this during both legs and got several goals building up from here.I think we’ve moved on from needing a left back. We have Ake and Gvardiol more than capable of playing left back or left centre back and are as good as anyone in the game.
I don't see any possibility unless a free loan on low wage.Surplus to requirements at Chelsea, lack of left backs in squad, with our pretty decent ability to manage injuries - worth a punt?
