Just checked - it is 5 games these days.

Regardless of whether he plays 5 or not, usually medals are made available for certain players that couldn't meet the minimum requirements due to being injured (and reserve GKs too!)

I would! Games get tougher now. Teams with relegation step up their fight and others will be fighting for Europe. FA Cup gets to latter stages and CL will get more and more challenging. To have any chance in that we could do with Mendy and Walker in our side as it makes us a totally different proposition.

If he is running outside now he will be kicking a ball in a couple of weeks and could be eased back into the team in mid-March.

Let us hope he does play a part this season so he can help take us to the quadruple! Would be nice for him to prove himself and get in the French World Cup squad too. Will be a huge mental blow for him to miss out on playing a part this season.

By the way I have no medical expertise I am just going off other timescales for players. If he can do some light running now surely 8 weeks is realistic.

I don’t think he will be back this season. That was a pretty bad injury, no point rushing him back, to potentially have him out again for a considerable time. He’s obviously gutted to be out, rather see him tearing into teams next season.

I have no idea when he will be back, just relaying what he's done and said in the last week.

He will want world cup this summer if he can come back he will

In the clip I saw of him on the rowing machine he looks like he may well be back by April or before.
