Is he injury prone though???

Since his break out season in 2011 at 17, he's played 224 competitive games, including internationals. That's a mean average of 37 games, Sterling has 204 in comparable time frame and also turns 23 next week....

For someone who is injury prone he doesn't half play a great deal of games...

He's mainly had muscle injuries which is a consequence of his growth, it's why I also called him a thoroughbred, it's a common factor in 'athletes' with his traits, ones which can and usually stabilise..

And to finish, I've been advocating a backup long before this debate cropped up, you've just failed to see it!!!!

Also It's worth remembering that 4 of his last 5 injuries (prior to the current one) were actually the same single injury, but he couldn't take enough time to let it heal properly because Monaco were in a title race. In a normal season, even this season probably, he'd have taken 4 or 5 weeks off and been back to 100%, instead he kept taking the minimum amount of time to get back on the pitch, before playing until it was aggravated again all the way until June.

my new favorite player, that celecration for the gosl made me piss my drink laughing
