Benjamin Mendy leaves City | Launches “multi-million-pound” claim against club over unpaid wages (p118)

If he did not breach his contract of employment he will be entitled to his remaining unpaid salary. I have no idea whether he did or did not breach his contract. The court will decide.
The argument will clearly be that it is an implied term that if you are suspended by the FA and so cannot turn up for work (amongst other reasons) then you cannot be paid.

The idea amongst some of you on here that there needs to be a specific clause in the contract for the scenario in question is fanciful nonsense.

Im sure City try and tell their staff how to behave. We havent signed many dickheads to be fair, they seem to do their homework. What they do once they are employed is their issue I suppose, but credit where its due we havent had many or any cunts on the books since the takeover, Mendy aside. In fact Id go so far as to say we have a lovely squad of nice lads every season. Grealish was a potential prick, but he hasnt been at all and has flourished into a family man even. Our Phil could have been a knobhead judging by his mam, but has been a great person. Being around the most professional club in world football works and we work at them obviously. We give them every opportunity to be great people. If they choose to fuck that up it has to ultimately be a personal responsibility dont you think?
Kyle walker with his multiple families not the best look tbf

You may ultimately be right.

The club should pay him his wages not the bonus part.

The club highlights that as part of his bail conditions he was not allowed to enter the Greater Manchester area so he could not train or attend work.
He could have still trained and been part of of the club outside of the Greater Manchester area the club could have sent a fitness coach to a local park if they wished.
He was found not guilty if other women would have accused the other players that were they would could have lost half our first team.

He had a curfew of 6pm, he had his passport removed. So he couldn't play any home game, take part in team training, play in any away game which would prevent him from getting home before 6pm (which is basically every game barring a midday kick off v Liverpool or Everton). So yes he could have been an amazing member of the club outside of Greater Manchester.

His actions caused the bail conditions. Its his issue. If he wants to sue anyone it should be the government.
