If it was us, why would they be reporting it to the French football federation.

My guess is we're playing a game with Monaco to f**k over PSG, who have been tapping up Mbappe very openly, and inflating the Sanchez price by getting involved with bids even though they know he wants to come here. I reckon us and Monaco are pretty okay with each other and this move was done against PSG. The media of course just assumed it was us, but I say again, if it was, the Mendy deal would be dead.
