Mendy morning, August 28th maybe...
Another day gone and in 6 days we face Real Madrid without a left back other than a standin. The result doesnt matter but we want to at least do ourselves a little justice. :-(

Benjamin Mendy left out of the 23-man Monaco squad that will face Sporting in a friendly. https://twitter.com/AS_Monaco/status/888429432284884993 …
I dont know if this guy worth this type of money but we are desperate for a left back (or two) so Txiki is just gonna pay what they tell him.
Looking at other fullback transfers, huge talent from Atletico to Real Theo Hernandez leftback, around 30m €, I think his name was mentioned with City as well eariler, than Dani Alves to PSG for free, also Yuri Berchiche from Sociedad to PSG for around 15m€, then Kolasinac who was on City's radar to Arsenal as a free transfer.
We fucked up this a bit imo, we should have got Kolasinac+Alves early on in the window than fight for Mendy+Waler later on and from 100m pounds we would have got 4 good full backs imo. Kolasinac good enough imo as a LB to rotate with Mendy.
Now we still paying the 100m or more for Mendy+Walker, and looking to spend another 60m Danilo+Bertrand maybe. And we probably kill the way to promote Angelino/Maffeo in next two years.
We made a fucking mess to let these positions to rot so much until we have very old and very slow players in these positions getting their contract ended so not even income from letting them go maybe 2-3m for Kolarov...
Same thing can hapen in the middle of the park if we dont start to solve it now. Delph, Fernando, Yaya, Fernandinho, Gundogan, first two could be leaving, Yaya leaving next summer, Fernandinho too probably as no new contract for him, so we need to get fresh, strong midfielder in right now imo.
Well we were linked with Kolasinac, and we all know what happened with Alves. I just think both players decided they'd rather play for another team than Manchester City. Not everyone is going to see us as their perfect destination.I dont know if this guy worth this type of money but we are desperate for a left back (or two) so Txiki is just gonna pay what they tell him.

Agreed. We don't need to get beat every pre season game! Get Danilo and mendy in asap to have a few days with the squad so they can play in the next two games
LOLCorporal Jones has nothing on you
Back than we didnt have high expectations which i almost prefer. In todays game it just to much mental work being a supporter of a world class team.Whats there to flap about?? So what if we don't have a left back??
I remember in the 90's when we didn't even have a team let alone a left back ;-)

He is clunky and clumsy. But he has speed, a great cross and am energetic attitude. Hence why I worry this is the one deal that could go either way. Good or bad.I have seen him play only about 4 or 5 times but he's looked quite clunky and clumsy in a few of those games.....when I've seen him at least. He looks a beast though.

Anyone disappointed in our transfer dealings wants to go to this excellent blog and read the" Money can't buy you love" section. Thank God we have moved on from those days!
