Benjamin Pavard

Just my opinion, but I thought he was shocking against us last year (masked only by the Upemecano Show), and frankly was extremely lucky to stay on the pitch given his treatment of JG.

If thats the way he 'defends' against decent left wingers then he's not gonna get the Bayern priveliges at City, and he's 3 red cards a season waiting to happen.

Stay well clear.

We have, before the Walker transfer speculations.

So he`s been on the radar previously which makes sense we have an interest now again. He`s not as quick as Kyle but then again who is? He`s better on the ball though and i genuinely dont think he would be a bad signing at all if Kyle wants to leave and wouldnt cost much more, i could see Walker and maybe £10m for Pavard.

He's 27, entering his prime years, and Bayern are willing to let him go. That's a red flag in my opinion. I'd be more than happy for Lewis to pick up Walker's minutes.

I'll have to don my tin hat for this one, but I also think that Lewis is not up to it (either now or in the future).

Not too bad carrying the ball, but nowhere near strong enough & positionally weak (as well as, physically, only really being suitable for RB).

strange logic mate? The best manager in the world has identified Pavard as the guy to replace Walker if he leaves so maybe we should trust that? Maybe he just doesnt fit want Tuchel wants but will be perfect for what Pep wants?

They are not, but he refused to sign a new contract. 1 year left on his current deal. Dortmund was also happy to let Akanji go, and Pavard is way more established.

Not really. Things can work out and unwanted players can shine at new clubs; Madrid flogging Robben to Bayern is the best example. But generally speaking a top club won't let any special player in his prime years leave without a fight.

Ah well that I didn't now. Thanks for the heads up. Still never been overly impressed when I watch him play.

i`m sure they offered him a new contract and he turned it down hence they want to sign another full back and get some money for Pavard.

I think it’s more likely, as you’ve said, that Walker offers Tuchel something Pavard can’t and we see something in Pavard that we can use in our system.
