Agree. If Pep did this with Ake I think Pavard could do quite well.No I wouldn’t, but that’s a fact now. Very similar players though.
You think Ake (9 months ago) was better than Pavard? Seriously?Dude fuck off. Ake is much better. If Pep decides to move for Pavard fine, if not who gives a fuck? The coming season wouldn't be decided by Pavard coming here. Give it a fucking rest
Ok, so if plenty is not more and he is currently unhappy with time last season…how do you see him staying and being happy?I didn't say "more" game time, I said "plenty". Please don't put words into my mouth.
I explained that earlier. That he will get game time (he's not going to be banished to whatever the modern day equivalent of the reserves). He just won't be playing every game. If he decides that that's not on, so be it. Also, there's no guarantees that the move to Bayern will work out for him. Look at Mane and Sane; two players playing at an elite level for their respective clubs, when they left for pastures new. And neither move really worked out for them. Unless you count Bundesliga titles, which Bayern generally win every year anyway. The old saying about the grass not always being greener on the other side is something Kyle might want to think about. If you believe social media, though, it looks like the move is going to happen. Which is disappointing, but it's his choice. If he does go, I wish him well.Ok, so if plenty is not more and he is currently unhappy with time last season…how do you see him staying and being happy?
Hakimi and Frimpong are good optionsHaven’t seen enough of Pavard to really have an opinion. If he is not up to the mark, who would be?
Gvardiol, or Bellingham and Rice? They are all £100 million plus, even at their peak the rags didn’t splash the cash every summer, it just isn’t necessary and personally doesn’t sit well with me. I agree with what you say about buying top quality with experience that haven’t won much, but we are pretty stacked at the moment and we have just had a pretty good season…I am trying to think in the Pep era how many players did we try to sign that had won the Champions League before (Carson excluded)? And yet, the summer after we do win it we could be signing two in Kovacic and Pavard. I can’t help but think it’s not a coincidence. This age range and amount of experience isn’t the type of players we usually go for. My kind of (the much needed) refreshing of the squad would be players with top quality and experience but that haven’t won that much yet, like Haaland and Akanji last summer, Gvardiol, or how Bellingham and Rice would have been. Their motivation to win is different and much needed. When a player has won too much, it’s different (hence why the refreshing is needed)
He fits the big strong, defensively sound and technical proficient defender that has slowly become Txiki's signature
This is precisely the summer to go big though. Lots of departures, need to refresh the squad after winning it all and the penultimate season to use Pep’s pull to bring in certain names.Gvardiol, or Bellingham and Rice?
