How does he compare to David's first season ? Not much different if I remember right.
 
I thought he was excellent as the false nine in the first half today. Wouldn't mind seeing more of that.
 
The one time he hits the ball well and it doesn't count.

A run of games is all he needs, he's easy on the eye when on the ball. Still would prefer him more central, in the positions Gundogan allowed into.
 
best performance for me in 1H, play him on the left and in the middle and he can really influence the game.
 
Sensational today.

He’s still not at David’s level of completely running a game but today felt like he was beginning the journey to that level.
 
Love him playing up top centrally. He won’t give you the goals Sergio gets, but he offers so much more in other aspects of the game. He was all over the place, running them ragged. Nice little flicks to link up play, good passing.
 
Given the licence to wander for a change and unsurprisingly looked fantastic in that first half. Got shunted back out to the wing in the second half and we got a lot worse for it. He's going to be an absolute star for us when he gets given that roaming role, he's just unlucky that in Dave and Kev we've got the two best in the business already. Should be getting those chances ahead of Gundogan though
 
Played in very much a free role first 45 mins and you saw what he is capable of.

Man of the match today for me.
