Bernardo Silva - 2017/18 performances

We've got less technically capable players than Bernardo that have adapted to our football. It might take time but if he puts in the graft it seems illogical that he won't make it.

He's had a less than ideal start but there have been moments of quality. I'm still a big fan of his. Pep knows what he was doing...many were throwing similar criticisms at Sane this time last year, look how that turned out

Actually pulling the trigger when put through at the end might have endeared him to me a tad more, but he has obviously quality. As I’ve said before, unless he is taking on a man, dribbling into the box (a la Sterling/Sané) Pep should demand he play two touch!!! For me, he slows down our game too much, because he wants too many touches on the ball.

I think Bernardo will get plenty of opportunities to show what he can do over this congested winter period. Hopefully that will be in the middle rather than out wide, but regardless the criticisms aimed his way are far too premature.

If players cannot score from his passes, they ought to ask his forgiveness. Never seen a player so capable of picking out a small player in the box who is surrounded by giants.

So fucking good. He's dreamy and will make the departure of his namesake a little easier to take (a good few years from now).

Looking much more like himself in tonight's game(just wait until Pep improves him...), hope this means we can see much more of him and Gundogan too.

First half was brilliant, felt he drifted out of the game and got isolated out wide in the second before featuring again in the last 10 minutes or so.

Thought he looked class when more central, his ability to weight a cross to somehow pick out a midget between two giants is remarkable, he's been doing that all year tbf but we've been fucking up the chances (he must really miss Falcao). Second half he was forced to stay outwide and stretch the game, which helps everyone else but at the expense of his own game.

Technically though he's as good as anyone I've seen, just needs to keep turning that into something consistently productive.

A glimpse of whats to come and the future tonight.

Brilliant player who will have one hell of a career with us.

Glad he played a full game
Opened the game by assisting Silva for the 1st goal
Hopefully he will get a run of games now.

Bernardo Silva (23) created more chances than any other player in the Premier League this evening. 5 vs Swansea

Missed the game, but looked great in the highlights. Involved in everything. Pep seems to be playing more with the wingers inverted recently, which will probably suit him better.
