I've never really understood how the press come up with the numbers for players' salaries. I'm fairly sure neiher the Clubs nor the players reveal the details of the contracts to the press. maybe agents do to demonstrate their worth to other players but I doubt it.

Anyway, whatever the numbers are, this is is great news. Bernie is a fantastic player and is the future star of this star-studded team. I firmly believe we will build the midfield around him, Foden and whoever we sign to replace Fernandinho.

Now just get Leroy signed up.

Excellent news, fundamental to what we’re doing, and a great all round guy.

Hopefully Leroy next but I just get the feeling it’s not gonna happen for some reason.
 
Noticed with the signing, and the All or Nothing bit with him playing pool that he's that rare thing: a full left sided person - left handed, left footed, the works. Most left handers (I'm one) tend to be mixed rather than totally on the left, it's highly unusual.

In my case I do most things left handed but throw a ball right handed and play racquet sports right handed. But throw a dart left, bat left in cricket, play snooker and pool left.

I may have wandered slightly off topic here...
