The club will need to ramp up the pressure a bit considering it's allegedly been going on for 6 months now. Needs to be sorted by the summer.

I'm sure he does. He is also one of the lowest-paid players at the club.
I can't blame his advisers getting him to sit tight and see how much more we will cough up. Especially so, when you see Sterling do exactly the same.
My only concern, having watched Bayern last night, is they love to tell players to sit tight and sign for free.

PEP Bernardo was one of the most - maybe the most - effective. He is a lovely guy, people appreciate him and not just for his skills, for the way he behaves. I am grateful, delighted (that Bernardo has signed new contract). When players want to stay, it’s an honour for us.
