But if we consider Bernardo’s tweet to be an act of racism than something has gone very wrong and it will definitely not help fighting racism where it should be. If you can’t see that you will have as big a problem as the people who actually are racists. For me Bernardo isn’t one of them based on his tweet to Mendy. Nor is anyone tweeting something similar to a friend despite any colour of skin.
If we take the fight against racism out of context we will never solve the problem. Nor should we ignore it when it actually IS an act of racism. This, no matter how you look at it, simply is not.
