Bernie is the future for the next 6-7 years. He has just hit his prime. He is completely unsellable. Are we forgetting some of the goals he scored last season?

He is not the future and even if he was happy and settled that little fella would not last another 7 seasons, he has run himself ragged in our cause.
 
Everyone saying club should not let Bernardo go. This is exactly the same thing that Brighton are doing. But if the player pushes and barca comes up with money, there is nothing we can do.It all fairs in market.

That’s what I thought but after those quotes from Laport Silva going nowhere this season ..

What quotes? "I respect silva because he is a Manchester City player" yet they brief press about Bernardo. They all come up with "barca going for Bernardo" news at the same time. I don't believe anything that club says tbh.
I hope Bernardo's not leaving but tbf i cant be very sure because barca is surprising me with their summer transfers.

The whole Bernardo situation is weird.

If we have told him he's not allowed to leave this summer why all continued speculation? Would his agent be wasting his time trying to move a player the club will not allow to leave?

Would Barca be doing the same, we have a decent relationship with them as a club despite what people on here may think, would they or us for that matter risk that?

Earlier in the summer there was a case that Barca were doing this as a publicity stunt to show their fan base they were active in the market, but again with the purchases they have made, they clearly don't need to do that.

Shame if he goes, but we will find a replacement and play differently and be as strong as ever. If they come with 90m, it's fair to let him go if he wants to go.

In these last 5 years, Aguero, Kompany, Silva, Fernandinho, Yaya...have left, and we found solutions with players who were very different in their playstyle. This is not gonna be an exception.

It sucks the season is almost starting, but KDB is in great form and Rodri seems to be as good as last season. We'll be fine

Life goes on but it's not good on the eve of a season to be losing a vital player, we already had a refresh, quite a major one, sometimes too many changes can be made in one window.

The only way this will be weird is if we assume that Bernardo doesn't want to move yet barca are pursuing him.

I think we have told Barca that the deadline for a deal has run out and they can come back in a year.

I mean why sell him now if he has promised us to not rock the boat and we don’t have a replacement lined up?
 
If Barca come up with the money, he will go. Bernie has been wanting to go to Barcelona and won't let the chance slip away in that case. Its late in the market but he has waited for this move for more than a year now and if its presents itself he is going to talk to the club about it. I don't see us standing in the way, our stand has always been about the valuation and if thats met its fine.
 
If he does go to the twats we need to make sure we have replacement first can’t afford to do same as zink squad Is starting to get bit thin
