Not a de Jong fan but every player we sign to replace Bernardo will we a downgrade at first but they will step up after proper coaching.

Remember everyone saying rodri was a downgrade on fern. Now rodri is irreplaceable

How anyone can say Bernardo is better as a winger at this point is beyond me. He's only been a nailed on starter out wide for us for a few months at the end of the 18/19 season. Other than that, all his best football has come in midfield.

De Jong's wages are the problem and even if it was possible, it would surely have been done a while ago.

When Bernie goes i believe it will be Bellingham who replaces him, but that won't happen until next summer. Bellingham will be a better fit in our system.
