Bernardo Silva

So a player who really wanted to leave two seasons ago but after talking with Pep busted a gut for this club, won two back to back titles and you don't want the club to grant his wish and do what they can to make this move possible?

No one at this club wants Bernardo to leave but it's quite clear the player no longer wants to stay in the UK, I hope and believe the club will do what they can to make the figures work for the benefit of Bernardo, he has been an outstanding player for this club and deserves our respect and best wishes for his future.
I’m sure reports said he wishes to leave if the fee is reasonable. Even though he wants to leave, he still has a huge amount of respect for the club. I don’t think 100mil is unreasonable given his talent.

100m is crazy, we won't be getting that.

60/70m and he will leave.

It’s not crazy at all. He’s been a top 3 player every year in a team that’s won 4/5 leagues. His work rate is incredible, never gets injured, scores important goals and never causes any trouble. He could play in 6 positions for them.

You’re saying he’s worth less than half what Coutinho went for, 4.5 years on?

That's not a reasonable argument. Everyone and their granny knew that Barcelona massively overpaid for Coutinho. He was never, ever anywhere near that good a player. Liverpool played a blinder there. No wonder Barcelona are in financial troubles.

Of course they overpaid. 100mil isn’t overpaying for one of the best players in the world. He’d get in pretty much every team. We shouldn’t let them off the hook because they wasted a fortune on a lesser player 5 years ago.

Coutinhio just like Grealish were well over value.

Bernardo as said has busted his gut for us in difficult personal circumstances, respect and loyalty works both ways.

We have had some of the worlds greats playing over 10 years for this club, sadly in this case we have a wonderful player who wants to leave for PERSONAL reasons, the club will show their love and respect and do what they can to make it possible and so they should.

i am just not a fan of this "be nice to players who want to leave the club and make our rivals stronger".
accept lower than market value fees as a club just because someone wants to leave and is not happy is not really something I like.

we had this seem story last summer, he was unhappy, homesick, not a fan of Manchester as a city or the weather etc, then he stayed and played an immense season and was the motor of the team and one of the first names on the teamsheet.

Kane was unhappy too with being lied to by Levy and probably his dreams of winning trophies but after a slower start even if turned it around and fought very hard for Spurs and Conte to clinch 4th spot.

i wouldnt mind another season of Bernardo being unhappy but playing such an important role. after all he signed a long contract which wasnt forced onto him.

So what’s the cut off point? How much discount should we be giving because he wants to leave?

If they want him so much, they’ll pay what he’s worth. They’ve just got 500mil so they don’t have an excuse. We’re not a charity or there to clean up their mistakes.

You grant his wish because guess what if you don't you get scum bags like Pogba rocking up at your club taking the piss.

The great players want to play for this club, why? Trophies, wages and the way we treat and respect our players and their families.

Barcelona want to sell their assets at highest possible amount but want to lowball everyone while buying?
No one this should be less than £100m

They have lots of money and make them pay
