Edit : i understood the rule wrong . Basically 1/1 means if they sale players for 80mil they can sign players for 80 mils. Earlier they were on 1/3 rule. Less chance of signing Bernardo it seems unless they sell frenkie

It should hint at why letting him go (if he does go) is a bad idea when you read whats int he Liverpool Echo....they are openly hoping/celebrating the fact that he could leave as it weakens us

I don't think Barca will stump up the +£80m we require and even if they did we would only have 2 weeks to find a replacement. Hopefully he will still be a City player on the 1st September.

They activated the 4th lever for 100m that's allowed them to register all players except kounde. Apparently pique is going to sign a new contract ro play for virtually nothing next year, which allows them to register kounde and alonso- who is agreed and signing next week.

Bernardo is very much on If they can sell De Jong (whose agent walked out on a meeting with barca today). It doesn't need to necessarily be for the same money as they buy bernardo for as they have a few leaving apart from de Jong anyway. Without de Jong though and I don't think it's possible for them to sign bernrdo due to 1/1 rule

Nowt new most of us know this if you take a bit of interest in if Silva might go and Barcelona have been upto the last few months

and that last bit is now the issue for me.

I know we want to never stand in the way of players leaving and I understand and support that most of the time BUT as you say, with only 2 weeks left to get a replacement we would probably struggle to do so and therefore that would leave the squad very light.....and therefore would be detrimental for the team and that should trump everything else.
