They made a stupid offer for Torres who was hardly a key player.

Do you know what's going on in the background regarding the attempted bribe? Me neither.

They tried to buy Garcia and we refused and attempted to get him to extend (not that anyone on here misses him anyway).

Not all other teams will behave the same as ourselves, so what?
We need to be tougher...we are constantly trying to be the nice guys

So we’ve taken them for the ride continuously. Thanks for that. The fee for Torres was hilarious. He isn’t getting on their bench next season as he was so poor and all their upgrades in lewa and rafina.

As for Garcia. utterly useless and will be at Betis by Xmas.
Its they way they go about things that I have issue with...publicly tapping up players

You think we bent over for Torres?
@simon23 is a very decent poster, sadly on bluemoon,(not just simon) someone comes out with a "phrase" eg barca boys and it gets repeated ,until it becomes FACT, then its lazy posting ie we bend over for barca , same as the wider footballing world, we are bent , all we do is throw money at it, i'm sure you get the jist

Hoping frenkie will say No

These shylock fucks love playing the role of the puppet master, don't they? using an army of Twitter handles to release false information as "leaks" to the media as a way to force the hand of other clubs.

Maybe it's time we play along? Get an unofficial twitter handle to "leak" information to the media, something like "City were interested in doing business with Barca and even lowered their valuation, however FCB were unable to meet up with City's player valuation due to the financial ruin that they currently find themselves in, City are now ready to walk away from the talks".

Follow that up with "unnamed City player was interested in going to Barcelona but changed his mind after seeing how the club defaulted on their wage agreement with FDJ, player also has doubts of Barcelona being in the UCL this season as the club has violated numerous FFP rules"

Finally, "Camp nou divided? Players worry about the club's constant violation of agreements, senior figures at the club ready to walk away, City seen as the preferred destination. More to come"

I bet regular tweets like this would force the men behind the curtain to ask for a twitter cease-fire, or as I like to call it, a "twit-fire".

Definitely something we need to wise up to

Hasn't Romero been saying this all summer? Barca can't register anyone - they need to sell FDJ and others to register the players they have already signed. I doubt there would be any capacity at all for Bernardo as well

Sane had already asked to leave.

We didn’t want to keep the others, so they aren‘t really a useful comparison.

I like it! Love how far you will go with that devil's advocate approach, to argue a totally far fetched hypothetical I doubt even you actually believe (the point you made a few posts back). But you are wrong. We have sold plenty players in the final years of their contracts, for a variety of reasons. You don't get to decide which ones count or don't when saying Raz and Gabi were the first. The first since Haaland arived, sure.

We wanted Raz and Gabby to stay.

But not the others.

Thanks

I just feel we are a little bit soft at times

Not a key player though, was he? We sold him for a profit and he hasn’t exactly made us regret it with the way he’s been playing
he easily could have been and at the start of the season lots were predicting he would be....

Hindsight is a wonderful thing ..... and Im more commenting on the fact that we took that risk...you think Barca would have let us take one of their squad players mid season? Or the scousers?
