Very sad day, as already said the term "Legend" is banned about too easily these days however Bert was a Legend on and off the pitch.

The words mighty, and brave understate this ex Paratrooper who graced this club.

Terribly sad news.
A Genuine legend and hero.
I was fortunate to meet him just over 12 mths ago at the City Former Players Dinner and he was a gentleman. I am nearly 40 and I was in awe of him.
I think the club ought to name the new South Stand after him, or a similar dedication.
RIP Bert, thank you for what you did and how you did it.
