best 11 v best 11

Was listening to talksport this morning rabbiting on about footballers today v footballers of old. Brazil was saying that most of todays players wouldn't be able to hack it in the old days. so i got to wondering would the best 11 players of the premiership era beat the best 11 of the previous 17 years (just to make the timeframes even).

i would have stuck viera in there instead of ireland,, or even keane... ( be gentle) and shearer or a in prime fowler for bergkamp.
